Landscape/Nature

I have explored the wonderful qualities of infrared photography since 1980.  Until 2007, I worked in film. Since then, I have transitioned to digital. My exploration has led me to develop several significant bodies of work.

The American Dream captures images from yesteryear.  Society continues to make technological strides and advances in electronic communication which minimize interpersonal contact.  These images remember a simpler time where events were universally experienced.

I have studied the mysterious world of the ancient Maya for years.  I have travelled to Mexico, Guatemala and Belize to capture the palaces, temples, and pyramids of this lost civilization.  Many of these beautiful structures have only recently been discovered.  Many more wait to be uncovered.

Recently, I made a journey to Easter Island, the land of the Rapa Nui.  Easter Island is the most remote inhabitated island on the planet.  The island is the home of nearly 900 moai, giant statues which were tributes to kings.  Due to wars among the Rapa Nui, all of the statues were felled.  Many have been raised to educate visitors about this ancient culture.
